Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers reportedly wanted to bring Oliver McBurnie to Ibrox in January. The striker joined Barnsley on loan from Swansea City instead.

Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Swansea City-owned Oliver McBurnie’s heroics for Barnsley against Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.
McBurnie, who was linked with a move to Ibrox club Rangers from Swansea in the January transfer window, scored for Barnsley against Wednesday at Oakwell in the Championship last Saturday afternoon.
The 21-year-old striker, who joined found the Tykes on loan from Premier League club Swansea in the January transfer window, found the net in the 21st minute to help his side to a 1-1 draw at home.

Rangers fans were impressed with the Scotland Under-21 international’s heroics and have urged him to join the Gers in the summer of 2018.
According to The Daily Record, McBurnie is a boyhood Rangers fan, with Sky Sports reporting that the Gers wanted to sign the youngster on January transfer deadline day.
The Gers are going strong in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and could end up second in the table.
