Rangers defender Nikola Katic is back from injury – but rumours suggest he could be on the move before the transfer deadline.
The Croatian ace suffered a major knee injury in pre-season last summer, and is only just making his return to action.
However, The Scottish Sun now claim that Katic has been told he is free to leave Ibrox before the transfer window slams shut.
Rangers already have a number of centre backs in Connor Goldson, Filip Helander, Leon Balogun and Jack Simpson, so Katic could be the odd man out.
Katic had been a key player at Rangers. He joined from Slaven Belupo in the summer of 2018, and has now made 59 appearances for the club.
The Croatian international has been in and out of the Rangers side, but may now have to face up to life away from Ibrox.
It’s unclear just where the 24-year-old would go, but what is clear is that many Rangers fans really don’t like the idea of him moving on.
Rangers fans have been taking to Twitter to post that they will regret selling Katic if the rumour is true, believing it will come back to haunt them.
Others can’t believe Katic would be offloaded instead of Simpson, calling the decision ‘baffling’.
