The Glasgow Rangers midfielder came on in the second half but could not change the game.

Rangers’ renaissance seems to be over after they crashed to a 3-1 defeat at home St Johnstone this weekend.
The Gers’ interim boss Graeme Murty has done well for much of his tenure, inspiring impressive performances from players who had flattered to deceive under former manager Pedro Caixinha, yet he watched his side throw away an early lead to lose convincingly to a side that has struggled for points at Ibrox in the past.

In a bid to change the game in the second half Rangers threw on midfielder Nico Kranjcar, but the Croatian was unable to make his mark, falling short during his 28 minutes on the pitch.
Kranjcar has struggled with injuries for much of his time at Rangers, featuring only 23 times to date, including eight times this season.

More often than not an unused substitute under Murty, Kranjcar finally got a chance to change the game yet he could not add to the three goals and five assists he has managed in a Rangers shirt so far.
