Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the Ibrox club missing out on Mexer.
Mexer was reportedly wanted by Rangers in the summer transfer window, but the Mozambique international central defender is joining Bordeaux instead.
The 30-year-old central defender, who has put pen to paper on a four-year contract Bordeaux, is leaving Rennes in the summer transfer window when his contract runs out.
As reported by BBC Sport, the defender was pictured with Rangers manager Steven Gerrard in France.
The Scottish Sun had also claimed that the Gers had offered the former Sporting Lisbon and Nacional defender a three-year contract.
Gerrard did play down the speculation, as quoted on BBC Sport, and Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to have their say.
