Martyn Waghorn was back at Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers as an opposition player today.

Martyn Waghorn didn’t enjoy a successful return to Rangers this afternoon.
Steven Gerrard’s side beat Waghorn’s Derby County in their final pre-season friendly before next week’s Premiership trip to Kilmarnock.
Nikola Katic was the hero for Rangers as his late header from an Andy Halliday corner was enough for the Gers, who have just conceded the one goal this summer.
Waghorn enjoyed a two-year stint at Ibrox and in 2016 helped the light Blues – then under Mark Warburton – win promotion back to the top flight for the first time since their demotion.
But he struggled to make an impact this afternoon as an opposition player, and here’s how Rangers fans reacted to his display:
The 29-year-old struggled in a big way for Rangers once they were promoted, before the addition of Alfredo Morelos rendered him surplus to requirements in Glasgow.
Waghorn, who joined Ipswich Town from Rangers, later got an £8 million switch to the Rams [Daily Record] in a transfer which underlines his value in English football, but he never looked at home in the Scottish Premiership.
He scored 27 times in 57 league outings for the Scottish giants, but 20 of those goals were in the Championship.
