Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers remain keen on the veteran centre-back, according to a report.

A bunch of Rangers fans on Twitter are fully in favour of signing Martin Skrtel it seems.
According to The Record, the Gers want to sign the 34-year-old defender and that he could be flying to Scotland to hold talks with manager Steven Gerrard.
Skrtel to Rangers isn’t a new rumour. The Slovakia international, a free agent after his £60,000-a-week contract with Fenebahce expired [The Record], was linked last summer and in January.
Gerrard has already brought young centre-back George Edmundson to Ibrox, but some fans of the light Blues would love to see their manager reunite with his former Liverpool team-mate too.
Skrtel turns 35 in December and a lot more Rangers fans wouldn’t be that keen, but Gerrard needs to be trusted here.
He played alongside the tough centre-back for seven years on Merseyside and therefore should have a very good grasp of what kind of character he is.
Plus, at 34, Skrtel isn’t even that old, when you consider the fact that Gerrard signed a 38-year-old Gareth McAuley last summer.
