Glasgow Rangers duo Lee Wallace and Declan John could be fit for Graeme Murty’s side in time for the Old Firm derby at Ibrox.
Rangers will return to action on Sunday afternoon, as Graeme Murty’s side will take on Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby.
The Gers will head into the Scottish Premiership game against the Hoops on the back of a 4-1 victory over Falkirk at Ibrox in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.
Ahead of the match, Rangers manager Murty has given an update on the injury situation of Lee Wallace and Declan John.
Wallace has been out of action since September due to a double hernia, while fellow left-back John has been on the sidelines lately due to a groin injury.
Manager Murty has told Rangers’ official website that he is hopeful that 30-year-old Scotland international left-back Wallace and 22-year-old Wales international left-back – who can also operate as a left-wing-back – will be fit in time for the match against Celtic.
Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Murty’s injury update on Wallace and John, with many stating that they would like the latter to start if both recover in time for the match against Celtic.
