Rangers again squandered points this afternoon as they drew 1-1 with Hibernian at Ibrox, having been just minutes away from a victory.
The Gers were back in action this afternoon as they took on Hibs, just days after scraping a 2-1 win away at St Johnstone late in the day.
Saturday’s Old Firm derby against Celtic is coming up, but it was Hibs up first for Steven Gerrard’s side, and they were on course for a victory after Alfredo Morelos opened the scoring.
Rangers missed chances to extend the lead, but were caught out late in the day as Darren McGregor popped up with a late leveller for Hibs.
Rangers sit three points behind league leaders Celtic ahead of Saturday’s meeting, and today’s draw again highlighted the deficiencies within Gerrard’s squad.
There are big problems in midfield in terms of a lack of creativity, and summer signing Lassana Coulibaly again struggled in the Rangers engine room.

The Malian, on loan from Angers, has struggled in recent weeks having started the season in fine form, and Rangers fans appear to have had enough.
Fans took to Twitter to suggest that Coulibaly is a ‘fraud’ and simply not good enough to wear a Rangers shirt, with some wondering how he still gets a start for the club despite his poor displays, whilst one fan even joked that he makes Gers loan flop Umar Sadiq look like Ronaldo…
