Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Kyle Lafferty against Hamilton Academical at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.

Lafferty – who joined Rangers from Heart of Midlothian in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Glasgow Evening Times to be worth £500,000 – started for the Gers and played for the entire 90 minutes against Hamilton in the Scottish Premiership.

The 31-year-old Northern Ireland international forward had a chance saved when Rangers were 1-0 up, but overall the former Burnley man was ineffective and could not do much with the abundant of crosses into the Hamilton boss.

Rangers fans were not pleased with the performance of Lafferty and have criticised the forward on Twitter.

Lafferty has not been exactly great for Rangers since his return to Ibrox in the summer transfer window, scoring three goals in 13 Scottish Premiership appearances so far this season, according to WhoScored.

It is hard for the forward to score regularly when he is behind Alfredo Morelos in the pecking order and often starts games on the substitutes’ bench.
