Rangers fans on Twitter have put their differences against Celtic-raised players to one side and praised Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney.

Tierney, who joined the Gunners from Celtic last summer, helped the North Londoners win the FA Cup on Saturday.

The 22-year-old hasn’t been a popular player among Rangers supporters down the years, having played an instrumental role in the Hoops’ domestic dominance over the Gers.

But now that he’s gone, some fans of the Ibrox club were waxing lyrical over the Scot on Twitter.

Tierney has been sensational for Arsenal since football resumed in June, establishing himself as a real key member of Mikel Arteta’s first XI.

Here’s how the Bears reacted on social media to his latest outing:

Tierney, a boyhood Celtic fan, will be cheering on his old side today as Neil Lennnon’s side kick off their 10-in-a-row bid with a visit of Hamilton at Parkhead.

Rangers put a bit of early pressure on by winning 1-0 at Aberdeen yesterday afternoon.
