Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the departure of Jordan Thompson from Ibrox.

Thompson has announced on Twitter that he is leaving Rangers in the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old moved to the Gers in the summer of 2015 – when Mark Warburton was in charge of the Ibrox club – after he left Premier League giants Manchester United.

The Northern Ireland Under-21 international midfielder failed to make an impact in the Rangers first team and could make just three appearances for the Gers, as reported by The Scottish Sun.

Thompson has played on loan for Airdrieonians, Raith Rovers and Livingston since 2016.

The youngster helped Livingston to promotion from the Scottish Championship to the Scottish Premiership this past weekend.

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to send messages to Thompson following his announcement to leave the Gers.

Scotland Under-21 international midfielder Ross McCrorie, who is 20 years of age and has established as a regular in the Rangers first team, has also taken to Twitter to send a message to Thompson.
