Glasgow Rangers suffered a disappointing defeat to continue their poor record away from Ibrox.

Joe Worrall of Rangers arrives at the stadium prior to the Scottish Premier League match between Celtic and Rangers at Celtic Park Stadium on September 2, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Joe Worrall’s performance during the Gers’ defeat on Sunday – and it appears that few were happy with the Nottingham Forest loanee’s display.

Steven Gerrard’s men suffered another defeat away from home in the Scottish Premiership as Livi beat Rangers 1-0 thanks to a first-half goal from Dolly Menga.

It was a very disappointing afternoon for the Gers as they struggled to create anything of note going forward, and also had difficulties dealing with the home side’s direct style.

Worrall perhaps got a surprise chance ahead of Nikola Katic – presumably with Thursday’s Europa League clash in mind – but the Forest man was unable to vindicate Gerrard’s decision as he struggled to cope with Menga, who scored his first goal of the season.

It would be incredibly unfair to say that Worrall was the only Rangers player to play poorly. Even Connor Goldson was well below his best in the defeat after a fine start to his Ibrox career.

But many of the supporters feel that Katic has to be considered first-choice to play alongside Goldson at the heart of the defence moving forward, with some proving to be particularly critical of Worrall’s display.
