Glasgow Rangers striker Joe Dodoo has impressed since leaving Ibrox on loan.

Blackpool's Joe Dodoo scores the opening goal during the Sky Bet Championship match between Exeter City and Blackpool at St James Park on November 10, 2018 in Exeter, England.

Rangers striker Joe Dodoo had a very mixed night on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old, who left Rangers to join Blackpool on a season-long loan last summer, scored in his side’s 3-2 victory over Solihull Moors in the FA Cup.

Dodoo fired the League One side into a 2-0 lead on 20 minutes, but was replaced only nine minutes later after limping off the field.

The former Leicester City talent, brought to Ibrox by former Gers boss Mark Warburton in 2016, now has six goals for the English outfit this season.

Steven Gerrard is likely to add another striker to his ranks in January after terminating Umar Sadiq’s dismal loan in Glasgow last week.

Dodoo, on this form, might’ve stood a chance of being recalled by Gerrard, but this injury, if it’s serious, might scupper that prospect entirely.
