Glasgow Rangers midfielder Jason Holt has reportedly left Ibrox to join former Gers teammate Joey Barton, although Steven Gerrard wanted him to stay.

Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Jason Holt has left the Ibrox club to join his former Gers teammate Joey Barton at Fleetwood Town.
According to The Daily Record, Holt has left Scottish Premiership side Rangers to join Fleetwood in League One in England in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the 25-year-old midfielder has moved to Barton’s team on a season-long loan deal.
Holt played with Barton at Rangers, with the former Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers midfielder now the manager of Fleetwood.

The Daily Record has also claimed that new Rangers manager Steven Gerrard wanted the former Heart of Midlothian star to stay at Ibrox, but the midfielder decided to make the switch to Fleetwood.
The former Scotland Under-21 international featured in 26 Scottish Premiership matches for Rangers this past season, scoring two goals and providing eight assists in the process, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
