The Rangers manager Steven Gerrard recently sanctioned a new deal for Barjonas after promoting him at Ibrox.

Rangers fans are reacting on Twitter after Jamie Barjonas starred for the Gers’ Colts team on Tuesday.
Barjonas signed a one-year contract extension at Ibrox earlier in the week, highlighting Rangers’ high opinion of him despite his lack of first-team involvement of late.
And after scoring Rangers’ first goal in a 3-3 draw with Solihull Moors – which led to a penalty shootout from which Graeme Murty’s side emerged victorious – that could soon be about to change.
Some of a Rangers persuasion certainly think so…
Rangers found themselves 1-0, 2-1 and 3-1 down at the home of the English National League side, before they equalised through a pair of Eros Grezda strikes.
The former Rangers loan player, Gael Bigirimana, had to score the decisive penalty kick to keep Solihull in the Scottish Challenge Cup, but saw his effort saved by Lewis Budinauckas – who was Kieran Wright’s 11th-hour replacement.

The Gers’ Colts will welcome Solihull’s league rivals Wrexham to Glasgow in the competition’s fiifth round.
