Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Greg Stewart against East Fife.
Stewart, who joined Rangers in the summer transfer window as a free agent, was in action for the Gers in their Scottish League Cup second-round tie against East Fife this afternoon.
As expected, Steven Gerrard’s side eased past the Scottish League One outfit at the Bayview Stadium.
There were a number of positive performances from the Rangers players, but 29-year-old Stewart struggled to make an impact.
Stewart had a quiet and frustrating game, often struggling to combine with his teammates in the final third and looking below the scintillating best of his form with Kilmarnock last season.
The former Birmingham City and Dundee man missed a good chance in the first half for Rangers, and there was no surprise when manager Steven Gerrard decided to take him off in the 59th minute.
Rangers fans were not impressed with Stewart and have criticised the 29-year-old Scotsman on Twitter.
