Rangers beat Hearts 2-0 at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.

Rangers picked up another victory under Graeme Murty on Saturday afternoon as they beat Hearts 2-0 at Ibrox to move six points behind league leaders Celtic.
The Gers had won four of their previous five league games heading into Saturday’s contest, and that’s now five wins in six as Murty’s men produced a strong showing at home.
After firing one effort wide of the post on his left foot, January signing Jamie Murphy then danced through the Hearts defence, rounded goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin and tucked the ball home to cap off a superb individual effort.

Rangers pushed for a second but had to wait until the 88th minute, as Daniel Candeias’ cross was turned home from close range by another January signing, as defender Russell Martin grabbed his first goal for the club.
A number of Rangers’ January additions are impressing, but one player who really caught the eye on Saturday afternoon was midfielder Greg Docherty, who was making his first league start at Ibrox as a Rangers player.
The 21-year-old, snapped up from Hamilton Academical last month, made his first start for Rangers last week against his former club, and divided opinion having been accused of trying too hard to impress for his boyhood club.

However, there are no such criticisms this week, as fans took to Twitter to rave about his performance, with many suggesting that he looks to be a future Rangers captain after a superb display against Hearts.
Some compared him to former Gers skipper Barry Ferguson, with many praising him as ‘outstanding’ and ‘excellent’ in a man of the match performance, as he dominated midfield and ran the game before his substitution.
