Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has become the latest inductee into the Premier League’s Hall of Fame after his glittering playing career for Liverpool – and fans on Twitter are delighted to see him become the seventh player to enter.

Gerrard was synonymous with Liverpool during his time as a player and joins Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard and Dennis Bergkamp in the newly-minted Hall of Fame, becoming the first Anfield legend to take their place.

While at Liverpool, Gerrard scored 120 goals in 504 Premier League games and chipped in with a further 92 assists for the Reds.

It caps off a great week for the Ibrox boss after he got his hands on the Scottish Premiership trophy, his first as a manager, before completing the hat-trick of Manager of the Year awards when he won the Premiership, Scottish PFA and Football Writers’ gongs.

With fans voting on who is inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, Gerrard’s induction is well deserved – and Rangers fans were full of praise for their gaffer.
