The Rangers winger had been told to find a new club by the Ibrox boss, Steven Gerrard.

Eros Grezda’s attempt to win over the Rangers fans is not quite going to plan.
The winger’s Ibrox future is looking bleak after the Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, instructed him to find a new club.
The Daily Record had previously reported that Grezda was informed he would never wear a Rangers shirt again, after he was accused of spitting at a Ballymena player during September’s Scottish Challenge Cup meeting of the two clubs.
But the Albanian was back playing for Rangers’ development side in a friendly against Carlisle United’s reserves on Tuesday.

Graeme Murty’s mixed-experience eleven was ultimately beaten 2-1 at the Rangers Training Centre, although it could have been a different story had Grezda not missed a first-half penalty.
This is how those of a Rangers persuasion reacted on Twitter…
Grezda was linked with a move to Qatar last month, although he has been left short of options after a deal failed to materialised before the league’s transfer deadline.
Rangers fans – will we ever see Grezda again at first-team level?
