Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight and disappointment after David Bates stole the show during their Scottish Premiership clash with Kilmarnock that is set to prove the defender’s final game at Ibrox.

After a turbulent week for the Gers, they would have been hoping to get back to winning ways on Saturday to keep themselves right in the hunt for second in the top flight.

Bates’ impact clearly left the Rangers fans with mixed emotions on social media after the contest. Many of the Light Blues supporters felt that the 21-year-old was the best player on the pitch, and that has left a number of fans feeling extremely disappointed.

Bates has established himself as Rangers’ best defender this season and losing him for nothing is a real hammer blow, especially as he seemingly found a move to a team looking to be in serious danger of falling into Germany’s second tier as a more appealing option.
