Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have gone over a month without replacing Pedro Caixinha.
Rangers chairman Dave King claimed today that he did not accept any criticism over the club’s ongoing failure to replace axed manager Pedro Caixinha.
Caixinha was sacked by the Rangers board on October 26 but King and his colleagues are yet to appoint a new manager.
Plenty of names have been linked to the Ibrox post, including Derek McInnes and Alex McLeish, with Ladbrokes suspending betting on the latter earlier this week, though he played it down.
Graeme Murty has been in charge on a caretaker basis since the 46-year-old’s exit and the former Gers’ academy coach oversaw a fine 3-0 win over rivals Aberdeen in Glasgow last night.
Speaking at Rangers’ AGM today, King dodged responsibility for the lengthy replacement process, claiming that it usually takes him three months to replace an executive at one of his South Africa-based companies.
And suffice to say that fans of the Ibrox club aren’t accepting that comparison.
Rangers, presumably under Murty again this weekend, visit Aberdeen in part two of a double header with McInnes’s side.
