Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Connor Goldson against Heart of Midlothian.
Goldson was in action for Rangers in their Scottish League Cup semi-final tie against Hearts at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Sunday.
The 26-year-old central defender started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Steven Gerrard’s side won 3-0.
The Englishman – who cost Rangers £3 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2018, as reported by Sky Sports – almost made a big mistake early on, and his passing at the back also left much to be desired.
Goldson has established himself as one of the most important players in the current Rangers team, but there have been occasions when the former Shrewsbury Town defender has struggled.
According to WhoScored, the defender has scored three goals in 11 Scottish Premiership matches and has played three Europa League games for Rangers so far this season.
Rangers fans were not impressed with the display produced by Goldson against Hearts and have criticised him on Twitter.
