Rangers coasted through to the quarter finals of the Scottish League Cup after hammering Falkirk 4-0 this evening.
The Gers saw Celtic lost at home to Ross County in an embarrassing defeat earlier today, and will have been desperate to avoid a similar loss.
There was no chance of that for Steven Gerrard’s side as Jermain Defoe fired them into an early lead, before Calvin Bassey made it 2-0.
Borna Barisic fired a third, and James Tavernier rounded off the scoring as Rangers set up a meeting with St Mirren for a place in the last four.
This was a great chance for Gerrard to rotate his side, and he took the opportunity to throw on two youth academy products in the second half.
Leon King and Ciaran Dickson were both introduced after the break, with King playing around 20 minutes and Dickson more than half an hour.

Dickson has recently been on the bench in Europa League games, and he did enough to impress Rangers fans in his short cameo today.
Some called Dickson ‘phenomenal’ and ‘impressive’, tipping him for a bright future whilst even comparing him to Scott Arfield having shown real energy in midfield.
