Billy Gilmour left Rangers last summer despite being just 16 years of age.

Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour has posted on Twitter after helping the Blues win their fifth consecutive FA Youth Cup 7-1 on aggregate over London rivals Arsenal – and Rangers fans reacted by congratulating the midfielder.
Gilmour, 16, joined Chelsea last summer and has continued to develop his burgeoning reputation with an excellent season in the west London giants’ Under-18 side.

Jody Morris’ under-18 side took a healthy 3-1 advantage into the second leg of the Final after an excellent performance at Stamford Bridge, but improved on that scoreline with an emphatic 4-0 win at the Emirates to win the Cup.
Gilmour opened the scoring for Chelsea in the second leg with an excellent low drive from the edge of the area, and he posted on Twitter afterwards saying that he was delighted to get on the score sheet and play at the Emirates.
Gilmour has been in impressive form this season, taking his tally for the season to seven goals in all competitions with his six other strikes coming in the Under-18 Premier League from midfield.
Rangers fans reacted to Gilmour’s tweet, with the majority congratulating their former youth star as he held aloft the trophy. One fan even Tweeted saying “come home”.
