Rangers salvaged a point on the road this afternoon as they managed to draw 1-1 away at Motherwell.
The Gers saw Celtic draw 0-0 at home with Livingston over the weekend, and knew that a win would push them even further clear.
However, Devante Cole put the hosts in front, and Rangers struggled to find a leveller until Cedric Itten popped up with an equaliser.
Itten was left unmarked at the back post to head home a crucial equaliser, handing the Gers a point to ensure Celtic didn’t close the gap.
The Swiss striker has been used mostly as an impact substitute by Steven Gerrard this season, but he is becoming hard to ignore.
Signed from St Gallen over the summer, Itten has now scored three goals in his last seven games, and bizarrely has four goals in three games against Motherwell.

Itten, 24, has now been hailed on Twitter, with supporters urging Gerrard to give Itten a start next time out.
Some admitted that they are now becoming real fans of Itten, and think he can be a big player given how much of a threat he is off the bench.
