Rangers picked up yet another victory on Sunday afternoon as they beat Dundee United 2-1 at Tannadice.
The Gers were looking to take a 16 point lead at the top of the table ahead of Celtic facing Kilmarnock today, and they did just that.
James Tavernier opened the scoring with a stunning long-range free kick right into the top corner of the net, before Liam Smith equalised from a tight angle with a superb finish.
Rangers were back in front by half time though as Connor Goldson headed home Tavernier’s free kick – and that gave Steven Gerrard’s men all three points.
They had to battle and dig in during the second half, but they got the win – and one substitute stood out for Rangers fans.
Striker Cedric Itten came on after 73 minutes, replacing Alfredo Morelos with the Colombian enduring a difficult afternoon at Tannadice.

Itten fared well though, holding the ball up when he needed to, giving Rangers a focal point in attack as he looked to build on the fine goal he scored against Lech Poznan on Thursday night.
Rangers fans have been hailing Itten on Twitter, claiming he is ‘actually quality’ and ‘will be better than Morelos’, urging Steven Gerrard to pick him in the starting lineup moving forward.
Others feel the Swiss striker is great at holding the ball up, showing fine touch as well as deceptive pace for his size.
