Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the injury update on Alves.
Below are some of the best comments:

Alves joined Rangers in the summer of 2017 and was expected to be a huge signing for the Glasgow giants.
However, the Portuguese centre-back has struggled with injury concerns, and his performances when he has featured have not been great.
That said, there is no doubt that Alves is a quality footballer who adds experience and a winning mentality to the current Rangers team.
Alves can be an important player for Rangers in their quest to finish second in the Scottish Premiership this season.
