Glasgow Rangers were rampant against their opponents at Ibrox today as Steven Gerrard steered his side to within a point off top spot in the table.

A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have taken to Twitter following the Ibrox side’s 5-0 Scottish Premiership thrashing of Aberdeen and, although most of the players were praised for their performances, there was one player who many Bears were particularly pleased to have seen performing well.
Borna Barisic, who last season was in and out of Steven Gerrard’s side, performed well in the 4-0 win over St Johnstone last week and, although he had a quieter display against Livingston in the Scottish League Cup, he once again did well as the Gers put the Dons to the sword at Ibrox.
The Croatia international spent long spells camped in Aberdeen’s half and his great cross for Alfredo Morelos set up the third goal as the Gers edged to within one point of bitter rivals Celtic, who could only draw 1-1 with Hibernian earlier on Saturday.
Here is what some Bears have said about the £2million signing (The Scotsman):
It was a great day at the office for most of the Rangers players as James Tavernier scored two penalties, Greg Stewart scored his first goal for the club, and Alfredo Morelos and substitute Jermain Defoe heaped more misery on the Dons.
Up next for the Gers is Thursday’s Europa League group game away at BSC Young Boys.
