Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Ibrox left-back Borna Barisic for Croatia against Wales.

Barisic, who joined Rangers from NK Osijek in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £2.2 million, played well for Croatia in their 2-1 win against Wales in the European Championship Qualifying Group E on Saturday.

The 26-year-old left-back started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, and his performance was very good and encouraging.

The Croatia international looked like a very different player from the one at Rangers this season.

The former Dinamo Zagreb man struggled to make a huge impact for Rangers this season and also had injury issues.

According to WhoScored, Barisic made 14 starts and two substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Steven Gerrard’s side this campaign.

Rangers fans were surprised just how good Barisic played for Croatia against Gareth Bale-led Wales and have given their take on his performance on Twitter.
