The Glasgow Rangers man has seldom been utilised by Steven Gerrard but a number of Ibrox Bears were impressed with his showing for his country.

Glasgow Rangers defender Borna Barisic played the full 90 minutes in Croatia’s 4-0 win in Slovakia and some Ibrox fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the Light Blues man’s display.
The visitors hit the woodwork three times in the first half in Trnava and Slovakia keeper Martin Dubravka pulled off several smart saves before Nikola Vlasic fired the visitors ahead on the stroke of half time.
Ivan Perisic doubled Croatia’s advantage less than a minute after the interval with a heavily-deflected shot from 25 yards, before Bruno Petkovic added the third with a close-range finish and Dejan Lovren weighed in with a diving header late on.
Barisic, who started at left-back for his nation, put in a solid display and helped his side to a clean sheet, so a decent night’s work for the Rangers man, and some Bears and Vatreni fans alike took to social media to share their opinions:
Barisic signed for Gers for a reported £2million fee (The Scotsman) last summer but dropped in and out of the side, making just 22 Light Blues appearances in all competitions (Transfermarkt).
This term, the 26-year-old has made five appearances for Rangers in all competitions, of which two have been in the Scottish Premiership (Transfermarkt).
