Rangers already have a number of midfielders, but they’re now seemingly in the market for another.
The Gers landed Bongani Zungu on deadline day in October, and he’s still really waiting for his big chance.
He is just one of six Internationals at Steven Gerrard’s disposal in midfield, alongside Steven Davis, Ryan Jack, Joe Aribo, Glen Kamara and Scott Arfield.
He needs playing time to earn a permanent move, but Rangers are now thought to be keen on bringing Billy Gilmour back to the club.
The Scottish Sun claim that Rangers have approached Chelsea about a deal for Gilmour, in the hope of luring him back to Ibrox.
Gilmour, 19, emerged through the Rangers ranks and was in first-team training at the age of just 15, but left for Chelsea in 2017.

He featured against Krasnodar on Tuesday night, but could end up heading out on loan search of first-team football ahead of the European Championships.
Rangers fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, believing it’s a ‘no-brainer’ to bring Gilmour ‘home’, feeling that he could make a huge impact in the second half of the season.
Some are though worried that Rangers don’t really need another midfielder, so just where Gilmour would fit in at Ibrox, even if he is a quality talent.
