Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has signed a new contract with Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club.

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the Ibrox club handing Alfredo Morelos a new contract.

As announced on Rangers’ official website on Friday, Morelos has signed a new contract with Steven Gerrard’s side.

The Colombia international striker will now stay at Ibrox until 2023, as stated on the Gers’ official website.

Morelos is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership and is a key figure in the current Rangers team.

The 22-year-old has been playing well for Rangers this season, and has scored 16 goals in the Scottish Premiership, four goals in the Scottish League Cup, four goals in the Scottish Cup and twice in the Europa League, according to WhoScored.

Morelos has been linked with moves away from Rangers, with The Express claiming that Germany club Eintracht Frankfurt want him in the summer transfer window.

TEAMtalk recently reported that Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers wants to secure the services of Morelos.
