Rangers have been rocked by recent development on two of their best players – striker Alfredo Morelos and goalkeeper Allan McGregor.

While star striker Morelos has been suspended for three competitive matches, his Rangers teammate and Scotland international goalkeeper McGregor could be banned for two games.

According to BBC Sport, Rangers goalkeeper McGregor has been issued with a notice of complaint for violent conduct against Aberdeen and could be banned for two matches.

The reason for that was that the 37-year-old appeared to aim a kick at Aberdeen midfielder Lewis Ferguson during the Scottish Premiership match between the two sides in midweek.

Morelos was sent off during the same match, and Steven Gerrard’s side appealed against the decision, which was rejected at the judicial panel hearing on Friday, according to BBC Sport.

This means that the 22-year-old Colombia international striker will now miss Rangers’ Scottish Cup last-16 tie against Kilmarnock and the Gers’ next two Scottish Premiership matches.

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the development on Morelos and McGregor, and they seem defiant.
