Glasgow Rangers had reportedly held some talks with Alan Pardew about the Ibrox job earlier in the season.

Rangers fans have been reacting on Twitter after the news broke on Monday that Alan Pardew had left West Brom, and it is safe to say that the majority of the Gers fans want nothing to do with the 56-year-old who was linked with the Ibrox post earlier in the season.

However, Graeme Murty would end up landing the job until the end of the season while Pardew would get back into management thanks to Tony Pulis’ departure from The Hawthorns.
However, Pardew finds himself back on the market after his exit from the Baggies over Easter. He oversaw just one league win and leaves the club in a position where relegation to the Championship now looks inevitable.

But while Pardew may now be available once again and Rangers may soon have a vacancy if they decide against extending Murty’s deal beyond the summer, the Gers fans are desperate for their board to go nowhere near the Englishman.
Murty’s stock may have fallen significantly in recent weeks, but it appears that many would still deem appointing Pardew a significant backward step for the Light Blues as they look to chase Celtic.
It remains to be seen if Rangers do find themselves linked with Pardew once again in the coming months, but if it is down to the fans, it appears that there is no chance that he will be Murty’s successor.
Here is the best of the reaction…
