Rangers secured qualification to the next round of Europa League qualifiers with a 0-0 draw at Maribor.
Steven Gerrard’s side earned a 3-1 win at Ibrox in the first leg which put them in a commanding position and a dogged performance was required in Slovenia.
Rangers produced exactly what was required, excelling in spoiling Maribor’s attacks and as the game went on, they looked more likely to score.
Among the star performers was summer signing Scott Arfield, who was asked to play on the left of midfield.
The Canadian was needed to cover Andy Halliday, filling in as a makeshift left-back.

He defended well and could even have scored, missing an opportunity at the end of the first half.
Arfield was signed on a free transfer from Burnley in the summer and even though Rangers fans are yet to see the best of him, he is impressing.
