Glasgow Rangers picked up a famous victory at Ibrox, with Ryan Jack scoring the only goal for Steven Gerrard’s side.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to laud Ross McCrorie’s performance after the midfielder put in an exceptional display in the 1-0 Old Firm win at Ibrox.
Steven Gerrard has ended Rangers’ wait for a win in the fixture as Ryan Jack scored the game’s only goal during the first-half. But in truth, the Gers could have secured a much bigger win if Craig Gordon did not produce a number of fine saves.
The Light Blues were superb all over the park, but particularly in midfield. Scott Brown has dominated Old Firm games in recent years, but Saturday has to go down as one of his worst performances in the fixture, as the trio of McCrorie, Jack and Scott Arfield stepped up brilliantly.
While Jack’s recent form and Arfield’s quality meant that it was little surprise that they both performed well, McCrorie’s display may have taken some aback as he has not enjoyed the best season.

The academy graduate’s potential is certainly not in any doubt. But he has struggled to build on the early promise that he showed when he first burst into the senior side.
But against Celtic, he was superb in the holding role. The visitors hardly threatened to get at Rangers’ defence, and McCrorie’s display was a key reason for their success.

Unsurprisingly, a number of the Ibrox faithful have heaped praise on the youngster and suggested that he was actually one of the best players on the pitch on a famous day for Gerrard’s side.
Here is the best of the reaction to McCrorie’s display…
