Glasgow Rangers midfielder Ross McCrorie was offered the chance to leave Ibrox on loan.

Plenty of Rangers fans have mocked their Scottish Premiership rivals after the Daily Record reported that the Gers had rejected a loan offer for Ross McCrorie – while one particular alternative option has been suggested several times.

The Record reports that Rangers are looking to agree a deal that would see Glen Kamara move to Ibrox this month having already agreed a pre-contract with the Dundee midfielder.

The report suggested that a player swap had been discussed between the two clubs, but Dee’s bid to take McCrorie until the end of the season has been rejected by the Light Blues.

And clearly, no Rangers fans are surprised that the offer for McCrorie has been snubbed.

In fact, some of the Ibrox faithful have mocked the club for asking for the youngster after his stunning performance in the Old Firm win before the winter break. It is clear that Steven Gerrard rates the 20-year-old highly, and many Rangers fans have praised Dundee’s ambition.

While the supporters are pleased that Rangers have rejected that offer, several have suggested that Jordan Rossiter may be ideal for a move as a swap continues to be discussed.

Rossiter has a lot of potential, but he desperately needs to prove that he can enjoy a long run of games without picking up an injury having only made a handful of appearances for the Gers. And some believe that a loan spell could be perfect for him.
