Gers boss Mark Warburton pulls off another coup for Ibrox side Rangers.
Rangers have announced the signing of Niko Kranjcar.
The 31-year-old joins Rangers on a two-year deal following a spell with New York Cosmos.
Kranjcar, who has won 81 Croatia caps, will be familiar to Brittish football fans following a lengthy spell in the Premier League included stints at Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur.
He is the sixth new face to join up with the Gers this summer, following Jordan Rossiter, Joey Barton, Clint Hill, Matt Crooks and Josh Windass to Ibrox.
And he won’t be the last as manager Mark Warburton continues to hunt players in what has been a fine summer on the transfer front thus far, spending money only on compensation fees.
Suffice to say Rangers fans are delighted with the club’s latest recruit.
Warburton’s strategy appears to be crystal clear as the former Brentford boss looks like recruiting not only talented players, but experienced ones.
Three of his new boys are relatively young, but the other three – Kranjcar, Hill and Barton – have plenty of experience which will serve Rangers well on their big return to the Scottish Premiership next season.
