Glasgow Rangers fans will have to wait a little longer before they get to see the midfielder play at Ibrox again.

A number of Rangers fans have suggested that they do not expect to see Graham Dorrans play for the Gers again following Steven Gerrard’s recent comments on the midfielder’s fitness.
Dorrans has endured a nightmare season at Ibrox. He has only managed to make three appearances for the first-team, with his most recent outing coming back in September when he lasted 56 minutes in a League Cup clash with Ayr.
It has felt as if there have been several occasions when the 31-year-old has looked to be closing in on a return to the first-team fold, with the midfielder – who cost an initial £750,000 in 2017 (via Daily Record) – turning out for the reserves on a couple of occasions since September.

However, Gerrard has suggested in his last two press conferences that Dorrans has suffered another setback in his comeback from injury, and admitted in his latest briefing of the media – which has been reported by the club’s official Twitter account – that he is not sure when the former Norwich man will return.
Unsurprisingly, the news has been met with a lot of frustration amongst the Rangers fans on social media. Dorrans appeared to be a fantastic signing when he was brought in given the quality he possesses and the affection that he has for the club.

However, he has made just 23 appearances in all competitions. And Gerrard’s comments hint that he may not add too much to that tally before the campaign concludes, which has left several supporters suggesting in recent days that he is one player that the Gers should look to move off the wage bill in the summer.
Here is how some of the Rangers fans have reacted to Gerrard’s updates on Dorrans over the last few days…
