Glasgow Rangers have now suffered seven defeats at Ibrox this season and face a real fight for second in the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Josh Windass’ performance after the Gers were left to go into the international break off the back of two consecutive defeats after Kilmarnock left Ibrox with a 1-0 win on Saturday.

Steve Clarke went into the clash with the hugely impressive record of having never lost to either of the Old Firm since being appointed by Killie earlier in the season, so the Light Blues would have known just how tough a battle they were in for off the back of their defeat to Celtic last weekend.

Unfortunately for the Ibrox faithful however, Rangers seemed to have few answers to the questions that Killie posed, and it was the visitors who ultimately scored the game’s only goal through Kris Boyd nine minutes after the break.

It was a performance that prompted the Rangers fans to show their frustration and has left their position in second in the Scottish Premiership looking incredibly precarious with Aberdeen just two points back with a game in hand.

Amongst the most disappointing performers at Ibrox was Windass. The midfielder had been sensational throughout February and got the Gers off to a flyer last week when he scored the opening goal in the Old Firm game with a stunning finish. However, his display against Kilmarnock led to plenty of criticism.

Many fans felt that he was largely anonymous out on the pitch and rarely threatened to make any impact on the game, with one supporter even suggesting that he should not start next month’s Scottish Cup semi-final with the Hoops.
