Rangers manager Mark Warburton told the club’s official website on Monday that Jordan Rossiter will be back in contention to face Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Friday evening – and fans are excited.
Rossiter, 19, was one of Rangers’ most impressive signings of the summer, having lured him from Liverpool at the end of his contract with the Premier League side.

A tenacious midfielder once compared to Liverpool hero Steven Gerrard, Rossiter racked up 15 caps for England at various youth levels, and he was expected to be a key player for the Gers.
However, his season has been a stop-start one so far; Rossiter missed a chunk of pre-season having been playing for England Under-19’s in the European Championships, and he’s been missing since the end of August with a calf injury.

Now, after almost six weeks out of action, Warburton has confirmed to the Rangers official website that Rossiter is back in training, and could feature against Inverness on Friday night.
“It’s good to see everyone back, it was pleasing to welcome Jordan Rossister back, and it’s been great work by the medical team to get him fit again,” said Warburton. “Jordan will be available for the weekend but might be a week to 10 days away, in terms of making sure he’s 100% right,” he added.
With Joey Barton still suspended, Rossiter’s return hands Warburton a major boost in midfield – and Rangers fans appear to be very excited about his comeback.
