Glasgow Rangers had to settle for a point as the Ibrox side could only draw with the Scottish Premiership’s bottom club.

Jordan Rossiter of Rangers is seen during the Betfred Scottish League Cup Quarter Final match between Rangers and Ayr United on September 26, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Jordan Rossiter’s display during the Gers’ 1-1 draw on Sunday that saw Steven Gerrard’s men miss out on the chance to go back to the top of the Scottish Premiership.

The Light Blues needed an emphatic win at the division’s bottom side to move back to the summit. But they got off to a terrible start as Kenny Miller broke the deadlock inside the first 10 minutes.

Andy Halliday equalised from a free-kick, but Rangers were unable to find a winner despite playing against 10 men for most of the game. Understandably, many of the Ibrox faithful were not happy with the team’s performance.

Rossiter got the chance to make a rare start for the Gers. The midfielder’s struggles with injury have been well-documented, and Gerrard included him in the starting lineup for only the second time since his appointment.

And interestingly, it appears that many of the Rangers fans are completely divided over the former Liverpool ace’s display. Some felt that his performance in the middle of the park was hardly worth the wait and are convinced that he will not prove to be a good signing.

Others however, believe that Rossiter was actually a shining light on a hugely disappointing day for the Gers, and have urged Gerrard to give him a run of games to build up his confidence and match sharpness.
