Glasgow Rangers have already agreed a pre-contract deal that will see Jordan Jones move to Ibrox in the summer.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Jordan Jones’s latest performance – and it appears that the winger has got plenty of work to do to win over the Ibrox faithful.

It has been a bizarre time for the Northern Ireland international. Rangers confirmed on their official website in January that they had agreed a pre-contract deal that will see Jones join the Gers in the summer.

His first goal following the announcement then came against Steven Gerrard’s side, as he scored a long-range winner in Kilmarnock’s 2-1 win at Rugby Park last month.

Rangers fans may not have been best pleased with their new signing, but he would have largely been forgiven for that goal if he could make a similar impact on Sunday that would have prevented Celtic extending their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Unfortunately for Jones and the Gers, it was the Hoops that were celebrating at full-time as a deflected Scott Brown goal helped them to three points.

And several Rangers supporters on social media have expressed their concern about how a good signing Jones is going to be when he arrives in the summer.

There are some who felt that he did well against Brendan Rodgers’s men. But it appears that the majority are not convinced that he will improve Gerrard’s options, with one fan even suggesting that they expect Jones to be another Michael O’Halloran.
