Young Rangers defender is out on loan for the rest of the season.

Rangers youngster Jordan Houston has left Ibrox on loan for the rest of the season.

Houston has joined Airdrieonians, the club confirmed on their official website.

Houston, 19, is regarded as one of Rangers’ most promising defensive talents and this is a big chance for him to show what he can do.

The teenager made his first team debut last month in the Scottish Cup.

Houston always faced a tall order to get in the first team at right-back ahead of club captain James Tavernier.

However, back-up right-back Jon Flanagan has been disappointing this season.

Houston should fancy his chances of getting in ahead of him.
