Rangers have made a superb start to pre-season as they beat Nice 2-0 on Saturday to clinch the Veolia Trophy.
The Gers beat Lyon 2-0 on Thursday evening, and their trip to France got even better with another 2-0 win yesterday.
A swift counter-attack saw Rangers go in front in the first half, as Ryan Kent broke down the right before picking out Jermain Defoe to score.
Rangers added a second late on, as youngster Jamie Barjonas added some gloss to the win whilst giving Steven Gerrard and co a pre-season trophy.
Of course these results don’t really mean all that much, and are predominantly geared towards fitness, but it’s still promising.
One player who really caught the eye on Saturday was midfielder Joe Aribo, who played a key role in Defoe’s goal by winning possession and setting Rangers on their way.

The 2019 signing from Charlton Athletic endured a mixed first season at Ibrox, showing his quality in patches but lacking consistency.
Rangers fans took to Twitter on Saturday to absolute rave about the Nigerian international, believing that he was ‘one step ahead of everyone’.
Others think that Aribo looks much better than he did last season, and that he is turning into ‘some player’ as his development continues.
