Rangers fans were full of praise for Jason Holt’s display against Queen of the South.
Rangers made it ten wins from ten games in the Scottish Championship, with a narrow 2-1 win over Queen of the South at Ibrox.
Mark Warburton’s men have been simply sensational so far this term, but they were handed a shock as Derek Lyle put Queen of the South in front, giving them a 1-0 half time lead – and putting Rangers’ 100% winning run in jeopardy.
However, Jason Holt pulled Rangers level after the break, and even though Martyn Waghorn missed a late penalty, he did pop up shortly after to hand Rangers an injury time victory.
The exploits of summer signings such as James Tavernier, Nathan Oduwa and Martyn Waghorn have somewhat overshadowed the impact of midfielder Holt, who joined from Hearts over the summer – and he may well be the club’s most underrated player.
The diminutive midfielder was instrumental in the 2-1 win over Queen of the South, and Rangers fans were certainly impressed with his display
Supporters took to Twitter after the game to hail Holt as one of the bargains of the summer, with fans even claiming he is Rangers’ version of former Barcelona legend Xavi.
Here are some of the reactions from Rangers fans on Twitter following Holt’s superb performance against Queen of the South…
