Rangers fans have been reacting on Twitter to reports coming out of The Sunday Post which have suggested that the Gers are keen on bringing Jason Cummings to Ibrox during the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old made a name for himself at Hibernian, scoring 55 league goals in 114 games for the Easter Road side, before earning a move to the City Ground in the summer, with former Rangers boss Mark Warburton bringing him to Nottingham Forest.

Life in the Championship has not exactly gone to plan for Cummings, with one goal coming in 14 league appearances so far. And there is surely some uncertainty about the role he will play in the second-half of the season with Warburton now out of the job and Forest still searching for their new manager.

And it appears that Rangers may be keen to bring him back to Scotland this month, with The Sunday Post reporting that £1 million may be enough to tempt Forest into selling.

The news has gone down extremely well amongst the Ibrox faithful with many feeling that he could be a brilliant addition to Graeme Murty’s squad given the goalscoring record he boasted during his time with Hibs.

Rangers do not have a particularly extensive group of strikers to pick from, with only Alfredo Morelos really proving prolific so far, so adding Cummings could be a great move if they do manage a deal and he finds the form that he earned him a move to Forest.

Here is the best of the reaction…
