Rangers had tried to bring Jamie Walker to Ibrox in the summer.

Months after rejecting a £600,000 bid from Rangers, Hearts have sold Jamie Walker.
But Walker is not going to be stepping out for Rangers and playing at Ibrox – instead he will be playing for Wigan.
A poor season from Walker saw Rangers step back from their own interest, with a change of manager also playing into the Gers plans.
Walker completed his move to Wigan yesterday for half the price Rangers offered, with BBC Sport reporting that the Latics have paid just £300,000.

Hearts wanted £1 million in the summer, the Daily Record reported, after turning down Rangers’ approach.
Last season Walker scored an impressive 15 goals for Hearts. This campaign he has lost form and netted just twice.
The Scotsman reported that Walker struggled with the pressure in the summer amid the transfer saga, and his game appears to have been affected.
So were Rangers fans annoyed by Walker moving on elsewhere?
His poor form this season has dampened the disappointment, and fans have been suggesting that Hearts should have taken their offer, and describing his move to Wigan as a ‘waste’.
