Rangers are through to the next round of Europa League qualifiers after hammering Lincoln Red Imps 5-0 this evening.

The Gers will have been wary of slipping up in Gibraltar, having seen Celtic lose 1-0 there back in 2016.

However, Steven Gerrard’s men were in total control, and were 2-0 up at the break as James Tavernier and Connor Goldson scored.

Alfredo Morelos came off the bench to bag a brace, scoring either side of a goal from fellow substitute Jermain Defoe.

Rangers are through without any major complications, though an injury to Kemar Roofe may be a concern.

It’s arguably something of a miracle that Ianis Hagi didn’t pick up an injury too, as he was kicked from pillar to post by Red Imps defenders.

The Romanian turned in an impressive display though, and Rangers fans praised him as ‘brilliant’ and ‘outstanding’.

Others praised him for being involved so much and for winning so many free kicks, noting that the Red Imps couldn’t contain him.
