Glasgow Rangers rounded off their pre-season campaign with an impressive 1-0 victory at Ibrox.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to laud Greg Docherty after the midfielder produced a fantastic display as Steven Gerrard’s side’s pre-season campaign ended with a superb 1-0 win against Derby at Ibrox on Sunday.
The Gers would have been anticipating a very tough test against the side that reached last season’s Championship play-off final. However, Wes Foderingham could have hardly had a quieter afternoon as he watched his opposite number have to produce a raft of saves to keep the score down.
Gerrard may be slightly disappointed that his side were not more clinical. But Nikola Katic did manage to find the back of the net in the latter stages to ensure that it was another win.
And the boss will certainly not be disappointed with some of the play from Docherty in the middle of the park, as he continues to prove to be a revelation following his year away from Ibrox out on loan at Shrewsbury.

The youngster was arguably one of Rangers’ best players on the day, and he was rewarded by being one of the few men to play the entire 90 minutes.
Several Rangers supporters on social media have expressed their excitement about how important Docherty could become during this coming campaign. Plenty feel that letting him leave on loan has proved to be a masterstroke, and the Gers are now going to see the best of the 22-year-old this season.
